Cyber Forensics in India or
Computer Forensics
in India
or
Digital Forensics in India is a
very new branch and is in the initial stage of development. Perry4Law and PTLB have given new
dimensions and different
meaning to cyber forensics in India. Perry4Law
is the Exclusive Techno-Legal ICT Law Firm of India that
has domain specific and highly specialised cyber forensics expertise
and capabilities. PTLB manages the basic level
educational, training and coaching requirements of Perry4Law.
Highly specialised cyber
forensics educational, training and coaching requirements of Perry4Law
are
managed by Perry4Law Techno-Legal ICT Training Centre (PTLITC) of Perry4Law.
This initiative by Perry4law and
PTLB would as Techno-Legal Cyber Forensics and Digital Analysis Centre
of
India, Techno-Legal Resource Centre for Cyber Forensics (RCCF) in
India, Cyber
Forensics Tools and Software Testing Centre of India, etc.
It would provide techno-legal
forensic expertise and training to police officers investigating cyber
crimes.
It will also train judges and prosecutors in digital forensics for
effective
administration of justice in cyber crime cases.
It would also collaborate, on
request made in this regard, with intelligence agencies and agencies
associated
with internal and external security of India.
Similarly, it would also collaborate and coordinate with Defence Forces
if its
help is requested by them.
It intends to assist in the
successful execution of projects like Crime and Criminal Tracking
Network &
Systems (CCTNS) Project (CCTNS Project), National Intelligence Grid
(NATGRID),
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), National Counter
Terrorism
Centre (NCTC) of India, E-Surveillance under the Information Technology
Act
2000 (IT Act 2000) and other laws, etc.
Cyber forensics is also a part of legal enablement of ICT system
that essentially creates a legal framework
incorporating the
prerequisites of cyber forensics. This Centre would extend its
expertise for
the successful implementation of national mission for delivery of
justice and
legal reforms (NMDJLR) as
well.
Human Rights in Cyberspace
have assumed
tremendous importance these days. No law enacted by a country can be
held to be
“Constitutional” if it violates the civil liberties and
human rights in Cyberspace.
We need to protect Human Rights or Civil Liberties in Cyberspace and
this
Centre would work as a leader in this regard in India.
These areas of operations of the
centre are by no means exhaustive and many more “Techno-Legal
Services” would
be provided by it in due course of time.
